It appears that the rumored split between Miami Heat great Alonzo Mourning and his wife, Tracy, is moving forward.

A few months ago, the Miami Herald reported that the couple’s 22-year marriage was coming to an end; at the time, no court documents had been filed. Last week, the couple put their mansion in Pinecrest, FL, on the market for $5.3 million, providing yet another signpost on the way to splitsville.

The couple, who have three children, are also involved in an array of philanthropic endeavors, so it won’t be a simple dissolution. A quick offer on their magnificent mansion might help accelerate the process.

The well-appointed home offers 9,100 square feet of living space. It has six bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, an office, and a chef’s kitchen.

As one would expect from an NBA great, this house offers top-notch details: The kitchen alone features customized cabinetry, granite countertops, marble backsplash, and top-of-the-line appliances.

The full bar and media room is a swanky space to entertain friends. But if mixed drinks aren’t your style, you could head to the 1,000-bottle wine cellar.

Like any perfect Florida pad, the outdoors are just as enticing as the indoors. The entertainment vibe that begins in the home’s spacious media room flows right into the backyard. There’s an infinity pool and spa and a full kitchen. The grounds are manicured, and there’s plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the company of friends.

In short, this house has it all, and though we’re sad to see it up for sale under the current circumstances, there’s no doubt the new owners will quickly figure out this one is a slam-dunk.

Mourning, 49, is a Basketball Hall of Famer who starred for 15 seasons in the NBA. He made seven All-Star squads and earned a championship ring with the 2005-06 Miami Heat. He joined the front office for the Heat after his playing career.
