President Donald Trump‘s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, who spilled the beans on his ex-boss to the feds in a bid to avoid jail time, has finally succeeded in renting out his luxurious New York City condo—for a whopping $18,500 a month. That will certainly help with the legal bills.
Cohen unloaded the four-bed, 4.5-bath condo in a brand-new, 64-floor tower in the ultratrendy—and ultrapricey—lower Manhattan neighborhood of Tribeca on Nov. 27. The identity of the renter is currently unknown.
This papers were signed two days before he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about attempts to broker a Trump Tower deal in Moscow during the presidential campaign. Cohen, who began working with the Trump Organization in 2006, pleaded guilty earlier this year to campaign finance violations and financial crime.
Trump tweeted on Monday that Cohen had made up stories to get less prison time, and should “serve a full and complete sentence.”
The disgraced attorney is slated to be sentenced on Dec. 12.
No one, including Cohen, has lived in the 2,697-square-foot condo with a private elevator, 10-foot-high ceilings, and views of the Hudson River. It also features marble countertops, oak cabinets, and a wine cooler. He bought the condo for $6.7 million in April to avoid incurring capital-gains taxes on the 2017 sale of his $3.3 million Trump World Tower apartment, according to the Wall Street Journal.
