This week we’re cracking the Champagne for our 20th episode of “House Party.” If money were no object, our ideal way to celebrate would include flying to Palm Springs, CA, and staying in the swanky, vintage-inspired midcentury modern pad we discussed on this week’s episode. Once offered as an Airbnb rental for $1,100 per night, it’s now on the market for $1.7 million and seeking a buyer who’s obsessed with color and “Mad Men”-era decor. Think Slim Aarons photographs IRL.
We also found ourselves truly stumped by the latest home decor offering from a partnership between fashion rental service Rent the Runway and home goods company West Elm. The two companies just announced they’ll be offering rentable bedding, pillows, and other textiles for the home. Would you rent sheets? How much would you pay? Is this service bogus or brilliant? We get into it all.
Plus, after noticing the same youthful amenity popping up on the properties of A-list celebs such as Bob Dylan and Bill Gates, we had to ask: Are trampolines the newest home must-have? Considering several hundred homes currently for sale feature in-ground trampolines, there’s a chance they could send your property value sky-high.
