Christmas came early for superstar couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who likely had a home sale on their 2018 wish list. Their country estate in Franklin, TN, just sold for $2.7 million, according to Variety.
The publication noted that the award-winning actress and country music singer made two transactions back in 2007 that totaled $2.45 million for the home, guest cottage, and 36 acres of surrounding land.
Granted, the final price was a good chunk less than what the A-listers had initially asked. When we first covered their listing in 2017, the price was a much steeper $3.45 million. However, almost a year after it was listed, the price was chopped to $2.9 million, and then again to $2.75 million, clearly low enough to entice a buyer to step onstage.
Perhaps the approaching holiday season made a potential owner take another look, as this sweet home is the perfect setting for a family gathering.
Set on a hilltop with views of the serene landscape, the 5,000-square-foot farmhouse features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half-baths. There’s also a formal living room with vaulted ceiling and skylights, a cozy family room with fireplace, and a kitchen with casual eating area. French doors open to the patio, with an outdoor dining area and barbecue. Other rooms include an office, gym, and media room.
Kidman and Urban aren’t exactly lacking in the real estate department. In addition to a huge spread in Nashville, they also own property in Australia, Beverly Hills, and NYC. Kidman is currently starring in the movie “Boy Erased.”
