They sued the husband of the former star of “The Apprentice,” John Newman, 63, for neglecting the upkeep on his four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 3,048-square-foot home in Jacksonville, FL, according to the Daily Mail and realtor.com® data. Newman kept the $615,000 property as part of his 2014 divorce settlement from his ex-wife. It sits on a tony golf course development.
The Jacksonville Golf and Country Club Property Owners Association filed the suit in June demanding that he remove the mold on his roof or put in a new roof, get his swimming pool chemically treated so it doesn’t become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, replace the dead grass on the property, and get rid of a dead tree lying on his fence. They also want $11,063 in back fees and charges.
The case is slated for a hearing on Oct. 15.
Newman, who has had money troubles over the past few years, heads up the Sanctuary at Mt. Calvary church in Jacksonville. He filed for bankruptcy twice, according to the Daily Mail. The last time was in 2013 due to $1,225,764 in debts. In 2016, his Buick LaCrosse sedan was repossessed after he failed to make payments on it. He still owes $23,516 on the vehicle, according to court documents the Daily Mail obtained.
Meanwhile, his controversial wife, 44, has been busy on the talk-show circuit promoting her new tell-all book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” which came out this month. She’s also been releasing audiotape of conversations she had with President Donald Trump and other White House officials.
Her net worth is an estimated $3.5 million—and is likely to rise with sales of her book, according to the Daily Mail.
