For the past three years, he worked on turning the classic old residence into a sparkling-new modern masterpiece. After putting in millions of dollars and countless hours, he’s satisfied with the result.
With the hard work, Lewis has put the Los Angeles–area home on the market for $7.95 million.
This isn’t the first time he’s bought and sold this particular house, according to public records.
In 2003, several years before he made his TV debut, he bought the property for $860,000. He flipped it a year later for $1.75 million. In 2015, he bought it again, for $2,484,000—and then proceeded to change almost everything about it. He even added reinforced steel and piles to the foundation, making the hillside home sturdier than ever.
The exterior is now distinguished by a limestone facade and all-new metal grid windows and doors.
The multilevel home now measures 4,334 square feet and has three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
The master bedroom features unobstructed hillside views on two sides, and those vistas can be enjoyed from either the bed or the private patio. The bedroom area also offers an elegant black-and-white bath and a walk-in closet with an island.
The kitchen is equipped with two islands, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, a wine refrigerator, built-in espresso maker, and black marble countertops.
The kitchen and dining area seamlessly open to a 400-square-foot patio with fire pit and awe-inspiring views of the city.
The outdoor decks—including those that surround the infinity pool—are made of suspended porcelain with invisible drainage. Reclaimed wood flooring in a herringbone pattern run throughout the home. And to clean those surfaces, there’s a new central vacuum system.
Among the state-of-the-art tech features are a Sonos audio system, high-definition security cameras, and automated lighting.
Lewis, 48, is a native of Southern California, and his reality renovation show “Flipping Out” is in its 11th season on Bravo. The home is listed by Carrie Berkman Lewis of Pacific Union International and Boni Bryant of Compass.
