In the show, he lives with his wife, Kate Pearson (Chrissy Metz), in a humble Los Angeles apartment. But in real life, he’s just moved into a stylish, new home in Venice, CA, that he scored for $2,333,000.
The compact lot originally held a small, ’50s-era bungalow, which has since made way for a 2,230-square-foot modern home completed in January 2019.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home has all the luxury amenities Kate and Toby wish they had, including an open floor plan, white oak flooring, LED lighting, EcoSmart ethanol fireplaces, and central air.
Sullivan and his real-life wife, Rachel, will likely enjoy kicking back in the landscaped backyard, which has a full kitchen with barbecue, an expansive deck, and a separate seating area with fireplace.
Geographically speaking, it’d be hard to find a better spot to chill.
“The location is in a sleepy part of Venice known as the Oxford Triangle,” says Jerry Jaffe of Compass, who listed the property along with Alison Betts of Douglas Elliman.
“It’s a very special neighborhood because it doesn’t allow through traffic. It’s adjacent to the beach bike path that runs from Pacific Palisades all the way down the coast to Redondo Beach,” adds Jaffe.
Plus, the home’s close to Marina del Rey, Venice Beach, and Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Besides his work on “This Is Us,” Sullivan played Tom Cleary in the TV series “The Knick” and Benny Hammond in “Stranger Things.” He also had a small but memorable role as Taserface in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
