Well, that was fast. Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, sold a beachfront home in Palm Beach, FL, for $35 million, after owning it for less than a year, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.

The Hilfigers purchased the 11,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-style home for $34 million in May, according to property records. Built in 1998, the single-story home comes with 200 feet of beach frontage. It has five beds and eight baths. The layout features oversize rooms, vaulted ceilings, and a large, modern kitchen.

Love for Golden Beach?

Despite professing their love for the Palm Beach area, the couple perhaps prefer their digs in Golden Beach.

After purchasing this beachfront compound outside of Miami in 2013 for $17.25 million, the couple redid the interiors to match their pop art collection. The fully customized house featuring brightly hued walls, plush furnishings, and loud design was later featured in Architectural Digest.

The 10,275-square-foot compound has five bedrooms and seven baths. It also comes with an elevator, chef’s kitchen, and infinity pool. Last year, the home went on the market for $27.5 million, had a $4 million price reduction, and then was taken off the market.

Playing the waiting game at the Plaza

The Hilfigers have one active listing on the market: their penthouse in Manhattan’s Plaza Hotel. The duplex apartment comes with Central Park and Fifth Avenue views. It underwent a breathtaking $20 million makeover, which restored it “to the original grandeur of the early 20th century” and features murals in the dome tearoom by artist Hilary Knight., who illustrated the children’s book “Eloise.”

Measuring over 6,000 square feet, the double-unit apartment has four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The master bedroom includes a sitting area and luxe bath.

As you may have guessed, the price on this design apartment is steep, at $50 million. However, that’s drastically lower than its original list price of $80 million three years ago.

The penthouse in the sky has bounced on and off the market. Even with some price cuts, it’s still searching for a buyer, who, like the fictional Eloise, “absolutely loves the Plaza!”
